Fox Fisher is a mixed race, queer, pansexual, non-binary, trans masculine artist, author, filmmaker, and campaigner.

After completing an MA in Sequential Design, Fox was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Brighton for their major contribution to raising the profile of trans issues nationally and internationally, and for championing the arts in media.

Fox has made over 100 films with My Genderation, spanning experimental shorts and documentaries. Their decade-long project filming a young trans boy, Kai, is being finalised as a short film with BFI support.

Born in London and raised partly in Saudi Arabia, Fox now lives in Brighton with their Icelandic partner, three cats, and a very pointy dog.

Charity & Community

Fox is a proud ambassador for LGBT Switchboard and co-founded Trans Pride Brighton. They co-run a Trans Masculine Early Days Support Group with Not A Phase, founded the Brighton International Trans Film Festival, and established the Trans Book Fest. Fox lead media interactions through All About Trans, shaping positive coverage across outlets including BBC, Channel 4, the Mail on Sunday, and the Observer.

Work & Campaigns

Fox creates trans-positive educational and promotional films for organisations such as Barnardo’s, GIRES, Stonewall, Transgender Europe, ILGA World, Brighton Pride, and Pride in London. They’ve designed national campaigns for Bloom & Wild and LUSH, and consulted on trans storylines for books, theatre, and TV, including Sex Education and Hollyoaks.

Fox was invited to be Artist in Residence at Homotopia and has screen-printed live at Tate Modern and the V&A. Their work is collected by Soho House and has been exhibited internationally.

Publications & Media

Fox has published four books—one gifted to Piers Morgan during a live debate defending non-binary rights on Good Morning Britain. Their writing has appeared in Metro, Gay Times, The Independent, and beyond. They’ve also appeared on BBC World News and in programmes such as BBC’s Generation Activism, What Not To Say, and Hayley Goes….
